i've heard good things about the rs3's.. they also offer the rs2's in 225/45/15, and those were pretty good tires.

Why don't you just get whatever is the cheapest street tire you can find then?

If you want to race on the track with these wheels and are asking what tire size and compound would be best to do so this is what you should do:

1. get the widest tire you can find (a 225 would be great)
2. the stickiest compound you can get.

Period.

This isn't the cosmetic forum; if you want to research tire stretch look there. Proxes 4's are not sticky tires, in my opinion and hopefully the opinions of many others here. And to put a 205 on a 8" wide wheel is a waste to me.

whoa partner.
Well thats why im asking isnt that a weird concept.
i am debating getting the 225/45/15 hancooks
i just dont want my car to dd like shit on lo pros but the search for sticky 215/50/15 is a hard path to find tires.

i run 225/45/15 Toyo R888's on 15x8 +36 949's i use then on the track and i daily drive on them, given that work is only 5 miles away they work really well. and the are only 125 ea. i use to run 205/50/15 Azenis on some beat ass slipstreams and it made the car feel really loose compared to the 225's so thats that. good luck

I would do 225/45 NT-01's. They're cheaper than RA-1's and R888's (onlinetires.com) and are basically the same tire (all 3 use the same rubber compound; almost everything else is different though).

I use 225/45 NT-01's on 15x7 TE's. My buddy Phil runs 225/45 NT-01's on 15x9 949's (front) and 15x8 949's (rear). I couldn't believe the difference a wider wheel can make. Even doing 205/50 NT-01's would be better IMO than doing a 225/45 street tire (if you plan on only tracking on this wheel/tire setup).

Something stretched go for 195 45 15 Nexens 3000's

Decent size for performance go with 205-50-15

just my .02 cents.
